"I had a wonderful follow-up visit with Dr. Sekula. He was able to spend time with me explaining more about my surgery and what made it unique. He has been a wonderful and supportive care provider."

This patient presented with a constellation of signs and symptoms including lethargy, loss of interest, and weight gain and was found to have a large olfactory groove meningioma measuring 7 cm in a largest dimension. Rather than a large bifrontal craniotomy or endonasal procedure, Dr. Sekula performed a minimally invasive supraorbital craniotomy through an incision in her eyebrow requiring an opening in the skull only the size of a nickel. The patient did not require the intensive care unit postoperatively. and was discharged to home on the second postoperative day. Within six months, she had lost all of the weight and was back to her old self. In this picture, the patient and Dr. Sekula celebrate her ten year anniversary of the surgery, which was performed in 2014.
